About 71 miles (114 Km) from Boston is the seaside region of Cape Cod, Massachusetts or "the Cape" as it is referred to by New Englanders. New England is the name for the eastern state area of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
